What you can download before your next setup

Downloads bring together the practical documents we use with shops in Centurion, Pretoria, Johannesburg, Vereeniging, Durban and Cape Town. It is meant to save time before an installation, a post-processor update or a training visit. If your machine is running in a hot workshop, near the coast or in a site with load-shedding, these forms help us plan the right setup from the start.

Use the files below when you are preparing for licence installation, machine onboarding or operator training. The aim is simple: fewer surprises on the day and a cleaner handover for your programmers and operators.

  • Software and licence datasheets
  • Machine onboarding checklist
  • Training preparation sheet
  • Post-processor request form
  • First job support checklist

How to use the onboarding checklist

Before installation, complete the onboarding checklist and gather the machine details in one place. This helps our team confirm the control type, axis setup, tooling format and the way your shop handles programmes. It also speeds up custom post-processors because we can see the machine behaviour before we touch your first job.

For turning centres, milling machines, routers and plasma tables, the checklist should include the control model, file transfer method, tool change method and any special M codes or work offsets that your shop uses. If you already have a current post-processor, include a sample programme and any notes on alarm codes or unusual headers. A small detail now can save hours later.

  • Record machine make, model and serial number
  • List the controller type and software version
  • Note power backup or UPS arrangements during load-shedding
  • Attach sample code from one good part file
  • Mark any local safety or access rules for your workshop

Training preparation for operators and programmers

Our training preparation document is designed for real production floors, not classroom theory alone. It helps your staff arrive ready for operator training, programmer training or owner training with the right files and questions. If your team works shifts, let us know which hours are most practical so we can fit the session around production.

Make sure the people attending have access to the machine drawings, sample stock sizes and the standard tool list used on the shop floor. If you want us to focus on routing, milling, turning or plasma work, say so on the form. That way we can tailor examples to your actual jobs instead of wasting time on unrelated parts.

Post-processor request and tuning notes

Custom post-processors work best when the machine notes are complete. The request form asks for the controller, toolpath type, file extension, axis limits and any special finishing moves. If your machine has a rotary axis, live tooling or a custom clamp setup, include that detail as well. It makes post tuning much easier and cuts down on test cuts.

When you send the request, include one clean programme, one problem programme and a short explanation of what is going wrong. For example, a shop may need altered feed output, a different tool change line or a safer start position. If the machine is in Durban or any coastal area, mention corrosion concerns or cabinet moisture where relevant, because these can affect control issues and support planning.

  • Controller and machine type
  • Preferred file format and naming standard
  • Tool list and offsets used on site
  • Known alarms, pauses or incorrect code output
  • Test part dimensions and material type

First job support and remote troubleshooting

Once your licence is installed and the post-processor is loaded, the first job support notes help us stay aligned with your team. They cover the first toolpath, machine dry run and the checks we want you to do before cutting material. This is especially useful for new users or shops moving from one programme workflow to another.

If something is not right, the troubleshooting form lets us narrow it down quickly. Capture the error message, the point where the job stopped and what changed just before the fault. A photo of the control screen or a short video often helps more than a long explanation. Our support team can then respond with the next step, whether that is a setting change, post adjustment or a machine-side check.

How to send a request through the contact page

All document requests and support questions come through the enquiry form on our contact page. Use it to ask for the right download, book training, request a licence installation or submit a post-processor job. Mention your town, the machine type and the service you need so we can route it to the right person.

Our Centurion base supports shops across South Africa and the same process applies whether you are in Pretoria, the East Rand, the West Rand, Vereeniging, Johannesburg, Durban or Cape Town. If your workshop has municipal access limits, security rules or strict delivery windows, include that too. It helps us plan the visit properly and keeps the job moving without delays.

After you send the enquiry, keep an eye on the reply thread and attach any extra files in the same conversation. That keeps the records together and makes it easier to track your licence, training or post-processing request from start to finish.

Questions we get asked

What should I download first for a new CNC software installation?

Start with the onboarding checklist and the licence datasheet. Those two documents give us the machine details, user needs and site conditions needed for a clean setup.

Can I use the downloads for training only?

Yes. The training preparation sheet is useful on its own for operator training, programmer training and owner training, even if no new licence is being installed.

How do I ask for a custom post-processor?

Use the enquiry form on the contact page and attach the post-processor request form, plus one good sample programme and any notes on controller behaviour.
