Training Locations

CNC Software works from Centurion and supports customers across major South African industrial centres. Training, post setup and implementation can be delivered on-site at your shop.

Training Locations

Choose the right training location for your shop

Our training locations are arranged to help CNC shops get the right support close to where the work happens. Some teams need a quick licence installation and a practical handover, while others need full operator or programmer training with live parts on the machine. If your shop runs routing, milling, turning or plasma work, the best location is usually the one that keeps machine time, travel time and downtime under control.

We support customers from Centurion and across Pretoria, Johannesburg, Vereeniging, Durban, Cape Town, the East Rand and the West Rand. For many clients the simplest option is on-site training at their own factory floor, because the machine, the post-processor and the job files are all there in front of the team. That makes it easier to spot small issues early, especially when production is already under pressure from load-shedding or tight delivery dates.

Centurion training for setup, handover and follow-up

Centurion is our base and often the best starting point for customers who need a structured setup process. It works well for licence installation, post tuning, machine onboarding and first job support. If your team wants a clean start before going live, we can use Centurion for planning, file checks and remote follow-up, then move the work to your shop when the machine is ready.

  • Licence installation and user setup
  • Custom post processors for your machine control
  • Operator, programmer or owner training
  • Annual support plans for ongoing assistance

This is also useful for smaller teams that want to sort out one machine first before rolling the same workflow across the rest of the shop. A short session upfront can save hours later and helps avoid bad code, toolpath errors and last-minute panic before a deadline.

Pretoria, Johannesburg and the East Rand for busy production floors

Pretoria, Johannesburg and the East Rand cover a large share of South Africa’s machining and fabrication work, so these areas often need flexible training dates and direct support on-site. We regularly help shops that cannot spare a full day for travel because machines must keep cutting, whether it is a small prototype order or a repeating production run. On-site visits also help when a post needs tuning for a specific control, clamp setup or operator routine.

Typical support in these areas includes workflow audits, tool library builds, first job support and remote troubleshooting after the training session. If your team has a mix of experienced programmers and newer operators, we can split the session so everyone gets the right level of detail, without slowing the whole shop down.

  • Pretoria training for shops near industrial and fabrication centres
  • Johannesburg training for higher volume production teams
  • East Rand training for machining, tooling and sheet processing shops
  • Remote follow-up for post changes and job setup checks

Vereeniging and the West Rand for practical shop-floor support

Vereeniging and the West Rand have a strong base of engineering, repair and manufacturing work, and many of these shops need practical support that fits into existing shift patterns. We can come to your premises to work through machine onboarding, licence installation and live job setup, instead of asking your team to step away from production for too long. That is especially useful when your work includes repeat parts, urgent repairs or mixed batches with different tooling.

We also help with post-processors for older and newer machine controls, where a small output change can make a big difference to the quality of the final part. If you are dealing with uneven output, broken tool paths or code that needs manual cleaning, post tuning is often the fastest fix. It is better to sort it once than keep patching the same problem job after job.

Durban and Cape Town for coastal shops and plant rooms

Durban and Cape Town shops often deal with coastal humidity, salt air and equipment that lives in less-than-ideal conditions. That makes correct installation, clean file handling and clear operator training even more important. A machine can look fine but still give trouble if the workflow is not set up properly or if the post outputs code that does not suit the control or the way your team actually runs jobs.

For these areas, we usually plan the visit around your production calendar and any access rules on site. If the shop has municipal or site-specific requirements, we work within those limits and keep the process straightforward. The aim is simple: get the software licence installed, the post working and the team comfortable enough to run the next job without guesswork.

What to expect from each training visit

Every location can include a different mix of services, depending on what your shop needs most. Some customers only need a single machine brought online, while others want a fuller rollout with training for operators, programmers and the business owner. The list below shows the most common support we deliver across all training areas.

  • Custom post processors and post tuning
  • Machine onboarding and licence installation
  • Operator, programmer and owner training
  • First job support and remote troubleshooting
  • Workflow audits and tool library builds
  • Annual support plans for ongoing shop support

CNC Software is based in Centurion and supports shops across South Africa with a practical, hands-on approach. If your team needs training at your factory or support from our base, the goal stays the same: get the machine running properly and keep it that way.

Questions we get asked

Can training be done at our shop instead of Centurion?

Yes. Training, post setup and implementation can be delivered on-site at your shop, which is often the easiest option for live machines and real jobs.

Which location should we choose if we have more than one branch?

Choose the site where the machine, operators and current work are located. If needed, we can plan support across more than one branch and keep the post and training consistent.

Do you support shops outside the major centres listed here?

Yes. Centurion is our base, but we work with CNC shops across South Africa and can arrange support based on your setup, travel needs and production schedule.
